He may be miles away but those who love Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle still found a way to celebrate his 63rd birthday on Sunday, June 21, by donating food to the poor.

Tagle, the prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, said some of his friends informed him that around 2,500 poor people, such as the homeless and street kids, were given free lunch on the said day.

“They informed me that for my birthday, they will give free lunch, especially to those who find it difficult to have a decent meal,” he said during a Mass at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino in Rome.
