• What is Binalot?

  Binalot is a fastfood chain, established in 1996, well known for offering all-time favorite Filipino meals served deliciously in banana leaves at affordable prices. Binalot started Franchising in 2004.

• How many branches does Binalot have?

  As of July 2008, Binalot meals are enjoyed at 9 company owned stores and 31 franchises. There are also plans to open branches in the Visayas and Mindanao.

• How much is a Binalot franchise?

  Investment in a Binalot franchise begins at P800, 000.00 depending on the type of store: Stand -Alone/Restaurant, Food Stall, or Kiosk. This investment fee includes the following:

  • Franchise Fee of P500,000.00
  • Construction of the store
  • Kitchen equipment and facilities
  • Furniture and fixtures
  • Air-con system
  • Signage
  • Pre-operating expenses
• What will the Binalot Franchise Fee cover?

  Like most successful franchise systems, the Binalot Franchise System has invested in research and development, consulting with franchise, marketing, advertising and brand professionals to build the strong Binalot brand recognized today.

• Once a Franchisee, will there be other fees to be paid to the Binalot franchisor?

  Of the earnings to be made monthly, 7% of the monthly gross sales will be funneled back to the Binalot franchisor, broken down as follows: 5% as Royalty Fee and 2% as contribution to the system’s Marketing Support Fund. This fund will benefit all franchisees as they will be spent for promotion and marketing of the brand.

• How do I know if my chosen site is acceptable?

  Franchise applicants should look for sites that are located in high traffic commercial/business district accessible to both pedestrians and motorists.

  During initial talks with Binalot, we will provide the applicant with our site selection criteria. We will also request the applicant to verify the viability of the site by conducting the Market Study. Binalot will then evaluate the prospective location by verifying the Market Study.

• How big should the Binalot store site be?

  The size of the property required for a Binalot store is dependent on the store model that will be developed in a particular market. Store are may be anywhere from 7 to 50 square meters.

  Binalot has three store Models:
  Stand-alone / Restaurant 25 – 65 sq.m.
  Food Court 10 – 24 sq. m.
  Food Stall / Kiosk 7 - 12 sq. m.

• What type of training will the Binalot Franchisee receive?

  The Binalot Franchise Training program will orient both the owners/managers and the staff on how a Binalot Store is managed and operated.

  Training for your in-store team will take 2 weeks. This program is designed to orient them on full store operations and aims to provide them with an adequate grasp of the store procedures in time for the store’s opening.

  When your Binalot store is operational, regular training programs and seminars will be conducted to provide continuous learning.

  Training for owners / managers will take 7 - 10 days. This program is designed to provide an understanding of the administrative and technical aspects of running your Binalot business.

• Who will build my Binalot Store?

  Binalot will provide you with designs and building plans for the Binalot store. As a franchisee, you have the option to hire the services of a Binalot-recommended contractor or hire your own contractor, provided that they meet Binalot’s requirements. The cost of the construction is to be shouldered by the franchisee.

• How much money can I make ?

  The outlet’s profitability varies on several factors such as sales, location, occupancy costs, market potential, investment, and the ability of the franchises to manage and control his operating expenses. Other questions on financial viability will be discussed only during the interview process. Questions related to profit and loss are discussed during the later stage of the selection process.

• Who will provide the manpower to operate the outlet?

  Binalot corporate officer will assist the franchisee in the recruitment and training of its pioneer staff. However, this team will be employees of the franchisee who is responsible for their salaries and benefits. Maximum of five staff (supervisor included) must attend the full training program for two continuous weeks as a Binalot certified training store. This program is designed to provide you with an understanding of the administrative and technical aspects of running your Binalot franchise. Cost of the training program is included in the franchise fee.

• Do I receive assistance in opening my business?

  Yes. Binalot will assist in the grand opening of your store, which is designed to build your customer base quickly. In addition to your full training program, Binalot will send trained representatives to work with you at your store for a period of 10 days to 30 days.

• What form of continuing guidance will I receive?

  As a Binalot Franchisee, you will receive periodic scheduled visits from a trained Binalot representative to provide experienced guidance and answers any questions you may have. You will also receive the Binalot confidential operations manuals, which cover policies and procedures involved in running your Binalot Franchise.

• What are the term limits of the Franchise Agreement?

  The initial term of the Binalot Franchise Agreement is five years. The Franchise Agreement is renewable for another five years with renewal fee at 50% of the prevailing Franchise Fee for those Franchisees that meet our renewal criteria.
